The South Moravia Little League from the Czech Republic won the European and Africa Region Championship, besting the Italy team from Emilia Little League, 3-0, at Edward Piszek Stadium at the Little League® European Headquarters in Kutno, Poland, on Saturday, July 20. This will be the initial appearance for the Czech Republic in the 67-year history of the Little League Baseball® World Series. Thanks to its strong relationship with the Confederation of European Baseball, Little League has seen solid growth in Europe in recent years.
